BETHANY, W.Va. – The Office of Institutional Advancement and Bethany College are excited to welcome Shelly Moore as the director of development activities. Moore comes from Washington Health System, where she served as their development coordinator for over three years. In this position, Moore oversaw 80,000 donor records, managed giving campaigns, and helped to develop strategic plans.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Shelly to our team,” says Vice President of Institutional Advancement, Marketing, and Communications Lori Weaver. “Shelly brings years of successful fundraising experience that has prepared her to assist Bethany with increasing our leadership donor pool, event planning, and more importantly, will be focusing on increasing our stewardship efforts to our generous donors. Bethany College has ambitious goals, and adding experienced fundraisers to our team is critical in achieving our Build For A Lifetime Strategic Plan goals.”

“We are incredibly fortunate to welcome someone with so much knowledge and enthusiasm to our team. Throughout the interview process, Shelly continually impressed us with her experience and ideas, and we’re looking forward to seeing her build on those experiences and bring ideas to life here at Bethany,” says Associate Vice President of Development Liz Short.

Moore graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2000 with a B.S. in business administration and marketing. She is also a licensed real estate agent in Pa. and W.Va. working for eXp Realty, RE/MAX Community Real Estate, and Howard Hanna Real Estate. Moore has over a decade of experience and hopes to use her diverse background in fundraising, event planning, sales, and marketing to help build and grow Bethany’s giving events and more.

“I am honored to join the Bethany College community and excited to work alongside the advancement team,” says Moore. “I look forward to engaging with alumni and friends of the College to ensure excellence for current students and sustain the Bethany experience for future generations.”
