BETHANY, W.Va. - The 2005-2006 edition of The Harbinger, Bethany’s annual literature and art magazine, has been printed and is being released to the public. This year’s edition is a special compilation of poetry, fiction, and art from Bethany students, faculty, and alumni.
A reading of the material from this year’s edition will be held this Thursday, September 6, at 6:00 p.m. in Maxwell’s, in the basement of Phillips Hall on the Bethany College campus. All are invited to attend.
Dr. Larry Grimes, advisor to the publication, contacted Bethany alumni for submissions this year, to add some variety to the magazine and introduce the community to the works of the many fine writers who have graduated from Bethany College.
Copies of the magazine are available for $10.00 plus $1.50 postage. All proceeds will be used to sponsor poetry and fiction readings at Bethany. The reading will be filmed by Assistant Professor Jay Libby of the Communication Department, and DVD copies of the reading will also be available for $10.00. An electronic version will also be posted on the English Department website as soon as possible.
Requests for copies should be addressed to: Professor Larry Grimes at firstname.lastname@example.org or P.O. Box C, Bethany, WV 26032, and checks should be made payable to Bethany College and marked for Writer’s Club.
