BETHANY, W.Va. – The Bethany College Pops Ensemble will present an evening of original student compositions on Nov. 14, beginning at 8 p.m. at Maxwell’s in the basement of Phillips Hall.

Performers will explore a wide range of styles in the rock, pop and country music genres. Espresso drinks, Italian pastries and punch will be served throughout the concert.

Student composers and performers to be featured at the concert include Geoff Fisher of Waynesburg, Pa.; Spencer Garth of Alexandria, Va.; Sean Geary of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; Bee Hareza of Mars, Pa.; Pat Hedgecock of Glen Daniel, W.Va.; Leah Karst of Pittsburgh, Pa.; Kate Kaufman of Lancaster, Pa.; Amanda McCoy of Coshocton, Ohio; Eli Richie of Middlebourne, W.Va.; Rich Sawyer of New York, N.Y.; Amanda Watson of New Cumberland, W.Va. and Erin Wilkie of Melrose, Mass.

Also performing will be Brooke Deal, assistant professor of Religious Studies, and Thom Furbee, director of media services for the Mary Cutlip Center for Library and Information Technology Services.

The Bethany College Pops Ensemble’s CD, Blank Canvas, will be available at a special concert price of $5 during the performance. All proceeds from the sale of the CD will be used to further the mission of the Ensemble.
