Held at Bethany Memorial Church on Main Street, the concert will come at no charge to students, staff, faculty and the community. The recital program will include music by Maurice Ravel, Manuel de Falla, Isaac Albeniz and others.

While at Bethany, Anderson became a passionate admirer of J.S. Bach. A friend gave him a recording of Bach's music played on the classical guitar and a few days later he sold his steel string guitars and started studies on the classical instrument under the supervision of Oliver Manning who was Bethany's piano professor at the time.

After graduating from Bethany, Anderson pursued additional undergraduate work in Guitar Performance at the new guitar department of Shenandoah Conservatory of Music in Winchester, Virginia. He then went on to serve as a guitar instructor at Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, West Virginia where he established the school's first degree program in Guitar Studies. In addition to his accomplishments, Anderson's playing has also been spotlighted on Maryland Public Television.
