Artist Cliff Tresner to Hold Art Show at Bethany College

Bethany, W.Va. — Artist Cliff Tresner will showcase his Trouble Maker collection at Bethany College’s Renner Union Art Gallery. The show will run Friday, February 13 through Thursday, March 12.

 The process of problem solving has always intrigued Tresner and is shown in his very intricate art work. Many different things in life inspire his artwork, such as politics, nature, and emotions. He says through the process of creating his artwork he discovers more about his own nature as well as gaining knowledge and insight into the world around him.

“I enjoy the process of making and starts many of my projects without any direction at all, just to see how the story of the piece unfolds,” said Tresner. “I create many of my pieces just to stay working and productive.”

The Renner Union Art Gallery is open Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m., as well as weekend hours from 2 – 6 p.m. An Artist’s Reception will be held on Thursday, March 12, 4 - 5:30 p.m., also on Thursday March 12, from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m., Tresner will host a Gallery Talk.
