BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College is pleased to welcome Dana Bearer as the new vice president for enrollment management. Bearer has a long history deeply rooted in higher education that will serve and benefit Bethany’s future.

Bearer comes to Bethany from State University of New York Fredonia, where she helped establish systems to aid in enrollment planning and direct recruiting as the undergraduate, graduate, transfer, and international director of admissions and recruitment. Bearer’s decades of experience in enrollment, admissions, and recruitment will establish her as a key player in Bethany’s strategic plan.

“After a nationwide search, we believe we have found the perfect candidate with a solid track record of student recruitment and retention that can lead a progressive enrollment effort for Bethany College,” Bethany’s President Dr. Jamie Caridi says. “I am confident Dana will be an essential member of our leadership team and will aid in our success.”

Bearer brings with her an impressive resume. Prior to SUNY, she served as the director of admissions at the University of Pittsburgh Greensburg, associate director of enrollment at Clarion University, and the interim director of admissions at Saint Francis College.

“I am looking forward to working with Dana as our vice president for enrollment management,” says Provost and Dean of Faculty Dr. Anju Ramjee. “Her experience at SUNY Fredonia is a perfect fit as she brings a wealth of experience working with a diverse student body. Her knowledge overseeing international student admissions will be invaluable for Bethany’s international outreach program.”

Bearer has a master’s of education with a focus in educational administration from Saint Francis University in Loretto, Pa. She hopes to be an impactful and transformational leader for Bethany College.

“I am truly humbled and grateful to be joining the Bethany community as the next vice president for enrollment management,” says Bearer. “I am excited to be part of the team helping Bethany continue its path forward. Together, with President Caridi, faculty, staff, and students we will thrive as one Bethany! It is a big job, and I have prepared well for the challenge.”
