BETHANY, W.Va. — The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Bethany College announces the first of its Fall Semester Concerts — a combined Faculty Showcase and Ensemble Concert featuring the Bethany College Choir. The performance is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 15 at 7.30 p.m. and will be held in Bethany’s historic Commencement Hall. There is no admission charge, and the public is cordially invited.
The concert will feature Assistant Professor of Music David J. Rudari, baritone, and Bethany’s newest music faculty member, Lecturer in Music Sun Jung Lee, piano, in solo performances as well as their respective roles as Director of the College Choir and Accompanist. Rudari will sing selections from opera, song literature and musical theatre, and Lee will present the Liszt Concert Etude “La Leggierezza.”
The College Choir will present a program of American music, featuring selections by Lowell Mason, Eugene Butler, Kim Oler, Frank Loesser, Harry Simeone, Luigi Zaninelli, Arthur Hardwicke and Ed Harris.
