BETHANY, W.Va. — Sarah Walter of Weirton and Joe Testa of Amity, PA, were crowned 2009 Homecoming Queen and King respectively during halftime of Saturday’s football game against Thiel College.
The Bison defeated Thiel by a 42-21 score at a packed Bison Stadium.
Two two seniors were chosen from 10 members of the Homecoming Court that included: Maggie McCort, Kayla Pavlik, Emily Porter, Kathleen Thompson and Sarah Walter for Queen; and Matt Clancy, Eric Corrigan, Randy Stuckwish, Noah Townsend, and Testa for King.
Walter, an Elementary Special Education major with an Autism Endorsement, is the daughter of Wendy and Fred Rodgers of Weirton, W.Va. Representing the Alpha Xi Delta sorority, she is active in the Student National Education Association and the Collegiate Middle Level Education Association and is a Bethany Senior Fellow.
Testa, a Psychology major, is the son of Darlene and John Testa of Amity, Pa. Representing the independent student body, Testa is a member of the Psychology Club, Psychology Honors Society and the Bison basketball team.
