Bethany President Speaks at Naturalization Ceremony

BETHANY, W.Va. —Dr. Scott D. Miller, President of Bethany College, was the speaker Friday at the Naturalization Ceremony in the United States District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia. The Honorable Frederick P. Stamp, Jr., is the presiding U.S. District Judge. 

New citizens were welcomed from 10 former countries at the event, which was held at the Federal Courthouse in Wheeling. A reception, presented by the Collegiate Alumnae of Wheeling, followed the ceremony.

Among those packed into the courtroom audience were Judicial Scholars Program students from Bishop Donahue High School, Brooke High School, The Linsly School, John Marshall High School, Weir High School, Wheeling Central Catholic High School and Wheeling Park High School.

Dr. Miller became President of Bethany College in December 2007 after 10 years as president of Wesley College in Delaware.
