Nelson-Hensley possesses a wealth of experience in financial aid and finance management and formerly served as Director of Financial Aid for Bluefield College in Bluefield, Va. She has also worked at Ferrum College in Virginia, where she served as Director of Financial Aid, and Washington & Jefferson College and Ursinus College, where she served as Assistant Director of Financial Aid.
Nelson-Hensley has worked for more than two decades as a financial aid professional and for 12 years as a director of financial aid. Her duties have encompassed all aspects of financial aid operation, including overall aid management consistent with institutional, state and federal guidelines; budget and report preparation; staff supervision; campus- and community-wide presentation of financial aid information; and financial counseling with students and families.
She has maintained active participation in state and regional organizations, including the Virginia Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators and the Pennsylvania Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
Nelson-Hensley earned her master’s degree in student personnel services from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
