Bethany Videos Win National Marketing Awards

BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College has received two awards in this year’s national Education Digital Marketing Awards, according to Higher Education Marketing Report.  The awards recognize the best educational websites, digital content, electronic communications, mobile media and social media throughout the country.

The College’s new student recruitment video won a silver award, and the video recognizing Bethany’s 175th anniversary won a merit award.

“We are proud of our ongoing commitment to superior marketing and branding at Bethany,” President Scott D. Miller said. “As we continue to expand our communications reach to national audiences, we we value partners such as BD&E, a firm whose creativity and innovative strategies are essential to our College’s marketing success.”

The College’s Office of Communications collaborated with BD&E, a Pittsburgh-based branding and marketing firm, for production of the award-winning pieces. Jeff Flick, President and CEO of BD&E, is a 1982 Bethany graduate.

BD&E (http://www.bdeusa.com/) has supported branding and marketing initiatives of the College for 10 years. Bethany/BD&E projects have received more than 10 awards, including four gold medal awards through the annual Admissions Advertising Awards.

Bethany, a small college of national distinction, is located on a picturesque and historic 1,300-acre campus. Bethany, the oldest degree granting institution in West Virginia, was founded in 1840 and traces its origins to the founding of Buffalo Seminary in 1818 at what was then Bethany, Virginia.
