Bethany Student Activities Council Nominated for National Award

BETHANY, W.Va. – Robert Johnson, President and CEO of Power Performers, has announced that the Bethany College Student Activities Council has been named a finalist for a Campus Event Planner of the Year Award for 2015.

Selected from over 4,200 campuses nationwide, SAC has been nominated in the Most Memorable Event category which is one of twelve different possible categories.

Bethany’s nominated Memorable Event of 2015 is Robert Channing, “World’s Foremost Mind Reader.”  Channing performed on Bethany’s campus last spring.  Channing is best known for his E.S.P. ability to show power in the human mind as well as his skill as a speed painter.  Channing has performed on America’s Got Talent and The Steve Harvey Show and in 2009 was named Campus Entertainer of the Year. 

Nominees will be honored during the Annual Campus Event Planner Awards and winners will be announced on February 21, 2016. These awards are created to honor hard working student event programmers for their dedication to hosting unforgettable campus events.

The Annual Campus Event Planner Awards are hosted by Power Performers Inc. of New Hartford, New York.  The company brings high-impact speakers, celebrities, and entertainers to campuses nationwide.  Power Performers Inc. has been assisting campus programmers for the past 27 years.
