Abigail Hoard MS, ATC, LAT, OTC
Abigail Hoard is currently in her second year with Bison Athletic Training program.
Prior to joining Bethany College, Hoard served as an assistant athletic trainer at Chowan University where her primary duty was working with football. In 2014 she joined the Bethany Athletic Training staff as the assistant and was promoted to the Head Athletic Trainer in April 2015.
Hoard graduated from Mars Hill University with a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training. She was a four-year member of the Mars Hill women’s soccer program, and passed her boards prior to graduation in 2012.
While earning her Masters of Science in athletic training at Lock Haven University, she also passed her boards for physician extender (OTC), becoming a professional member of the American Society of Orthopedics (ASOP). During this time she served as a liaison between athletic trainers and orthopedic surgeons both on the field and in surgery.
Since being promoted to Head Athletic Trainer, Hoard has earned the Goodwill grant for Bethany College Athletic Training. She is a member of several other professional organizations including: the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) (2008), the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers Association (GLATA) (2008) and the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Trainers Association (MATA) (2014). Other certifications include first aid, CPR, blood borne pathogens and oxygen administration.
Hoard is registered in West Virginia and currently resides in Bethany.
Kimberly Lafferre MS, ATC, LAT
Kimberly Lafferre joined the Bethany Athletic Training staff in July of 2015, and is in her first full season as an assistant athletic trainer.
Prior to joining the Bethany College staff, Lafferre received her Masters of Science in Athletic Training at Indiana Wesleyan University. During her time there, she also served as an Interim Athletic Trainer.
Lafferre earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Wheeling Jesuit University, where she served as a student athletic trainer. She has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association since 2009 and has been a registered West Virginia AT since 2015.
Along with her duties as the Assistant Athletic Trainer, Lafferre is also an associate professor in the Physical Education Department.
A native of Ohio, Lafferre currently resides in Bethany.
Seth Taylor ATC, LAT
Seth Taylor is currently in his third year on the Bethany Athletic Training Staff, currently serving as a graduate assistant under head AT, Abigail Hoard.
Taylor received his Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training from Concord University in 2013. He is currently a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, and is a board certified AT.
He maintains registration to practice in West Virginia through the WV Board of Physical Therapy, as well as maintaining First Aid and CPR/AED certifications through the American Red Cross.
Taylor currently resides in Bethany and is currently enrolled in the College’s Master of Arts in Teaching program.
