Dec. 11 - BEAVER FALLS, Pa. –Junior Audra Droginske (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Central) went 5-for-5 from the arc and scored a career-high 25 points to lead the Bethany College women’s basketball team to a 67-59 victory at Geneva Saturday evening.

The Bison (5-4) trailed 51-45 with 7:43 to play, but Droginske scored 13 points to spark a 22-8 game-ending run to spark BC to the win. She hit back-to-back treys to put Bethany in front 53-51. After a Geneva (5-4) bucket, sophomore Kayla Taormina (Center Twp., Pa./Quigley) sank a free throw and the Green and White never trailed again.

Another triple by Droginske with two minutes left gave Bethany a 61-57 cushion and in the final 37 seconds, senior Tara Harris (Zanesville, Ohio) connected on four free throws and Droginske hit a pair to clinch the win.

Droginske finished the contest shooting 8-for-10 from the field, 5-for-5 from deep and 4-for-4 from the charity stripe to post her career-high. She was the only Bison to reach double digits, although junior Anne Wilson (Saegertown, Pa./Cambridge Springs) notched eight points and five steals and Taormina registered seven points and a game-high nine rebounds, which helped BC post a 37-34 rebounding advantage.

For Geneva, Alyse Scarsella scored 18 points and Valerie Hamilton dropped in 13.

Bethany will close out their first semester schedule with a non-conference match-up with Mount St. Joseph on Wednesday night at 6 p.m.
