Feb. 9 - WEXFORD, Pa. – Bethany College sophomore Anne Wilson (Saegertown, Pa./Cambridge Springs) has been selected as the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 9.

The 5-4 point guard led the Bison to a pair of conference victories last week by shooting 64 percent (7-11) from the arc and averaging 19.5 points, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals. In last Wednesday’s 55-52 victory at Thiel, Wilson knocked down a trio of treys and scored a game-high 18 points, while also making three steals to help BC post their first road victory of the season.

On Monday night, Wilson drilled four three-pointers en route to setting a new career-high with 21 points in Bethany’s 69-67 overtime triumph over Grove City. She also passed out four assists and made three steals, as the Bison posted their third win in the last four games.

In just her second year at Bethany, Wilson is carrying a heavy load for a young squad, as she leads the PAC in minutes played with 35.9 per game. In addition to being second on the team with 10.8 points per game, she is third in the conference in assists (3.48), second in the three-point percentage (41.0) and sixth in made three-pointers (34).

A communication major, Anne is the daughter of Tom & Libby Wilson of Saegertown, Pa.
