Biology—Equine Studies
For the first time, the Equine Studies Department has added the American Riding Instructor's Association (ARIA) certification as part of its program assessment. This April, six students took the certification exam. All six passed their Level I Stable Management certification.  In addition, Stephanie Jacobs passed Level I Western Pleasure, John Ryan Hajny passed Level I Hunt Seat, and barn manager and recent graduate Amy DiBartolomeo passed Level II Hunt Seat certifications.

This is a substantial success. Bethany’s is the only program that now includes an opportunity to sit for ARIA certification.  Using the numerical data provided by ARIA, Equine Studies will now be able to assess the affect of its program in more detail.
