Title IX/Sex Discrimination

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 states “No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under, any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”

Bethany College is committed to the safety and well-being of all its community members. In order to accomplish this goal Bethany offers multiple resources for victims of sexual discrimination or harassment. Bethany College encourages victims to report any form or harassment or discrimination.

Reporting:

Individuals may report multiple ways. Reports can be made in person to the Title IX Coordinator, Malorie Porter or the Deputy Title IX Coordinator Doug McConahy. Individuals can also report to all on-campus employees, excluding the College Counselor and College Chaplain, as ALL other Bethany College employees are mandated reporters.  Online reporting is available under the Complaints, Reporting, and Appeals Forms tab.
