In December 2024, Bethany College and West Virginia Wesleyan College (WVWC) forged an exciting partnership, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to launch the Nursing Education Partnership. This innovative program provides a unique opportunity for students to earn two degrees—a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies from Bethany College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from WVWC. Together, these degrees equip graduates with the knowledge and skills to pursue meaningful and impactful careers in the healthcare field.

As part of this program, students will immerse themselves in the vibrant campus life at Bethany College for all four years, while completing coursework tailored to both degrees. Upon graduation, participants will be fully prepared to sit for the NCLEX examination, the gateway to becoming a licensed nursing professional.

This partnership is built on the strengths of both institutions: Bethany’s interdisciplinary approach to education and WVWC’s highly respected nursing program. Together, they address the urgent need for skilled healthcare professionals, providing students with a well-rounded, competitive edge in today’s job market.

*The collaboration is contingent upon WVWC receiving Higher Learning Commission and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education approval to offer classes at Bethany College.
