BETHANY, W.Va. – Bethany College is delighted to announce the distinguished Rev. Dr. Lance Pape as the keynote speaker for the 2024 Oreon E. Scott Lectures. As a continuation of Bethany’s longstanding tradition of fostering theological dialogue and growth, the lectures are scheduled for April 8 and 9 at the First Christian Church in Washington, Pa.
Pape brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this year’s event. His commitment to homiletical theory, biblical hermeneutics, and preaching has had a profound impact on both academic and ministerial spheres. Ordained and having served congregations in Texas, Ala., and N.Y., Pape embodies a dedication to theological scholarship and pastoral ministry.
The two-day event promises engaging discussions, intellectual stimulation, and spiritual enrichment. Participants will have the opportunity to explore Pape’s profound insights into homiletical theory and biblical hermeneutics through lectures, discussions, and Q&A sessions.
