BETHANY, W.Va. — The Bethany College Staff Council is announcing the inaugural “Better Bethany Day,” scheduled to take place on April 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is set to bring together the Bethany College community in a collective effort to enhance our campus.
“Better Bethany Day” represents a significant campus cleanup initiative aimed at fostering community engagement and environmental stewardship. The first 200 attendees will receive complimentary “Better Bethany Day” t-shirts.
The event will kick off on Richardson Lawn, where participants will gather to collect garbage bags and gloves before dispersing across campus for cleanup activities. Following the cleanup efforts, a well-deserved lunch will be provided.
“Better Bethany Day” underscores the shared commitment to preserving the beauty of Bethany College. It provides an opportunity for faculty, staff, and students to actively contribute to the upkeep of our cherished outdoor spaces. Whether sprucing up the vicinity of their own buildings or exploring other areas in need of attention, participants will have access to a comprehensive list of locations to guide their efforts. Additionally, there will be an initiative to spread wildflower seeds, adding a vibrant touch of nature to our surroundings.
In addition to “Better Bethany Day,” Bethany College alumni will have the opportunity to showcase their Bison spirit and give back to their alma mater with “Bethany Beautification Day” on July 13! Details for this alumni event will be shared soon.
